Terms of service

1. Overview

These Terms apply to both SeshBot and SeshTunes, Discord bots built to help you run a server — moderation, verification, automation, music and community features. Inviting either bot means accepting these Terms.

2. Data storage

Both bots store only what their features need: configuration settings, server IDs, user IDs and activity stats. Data is stored in MongoDB Atlas. You can request deletion at any time through our support server, and removing a bot from your server deletes that server's data. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is held and for how long.

3. External services

Our bots interact with third-party platforms to deliver features:

• SeshBot: Google Gemini by default for the AI assistant — a server may instead choose OpenAI, Groq or Mistral, or supply its own key — plus Google Safe Browsing, VirusTotal and JSONLink for link safety checks.
• SeshTunes: YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify, Deezer and SoundCloud.
• Both: Discord, MongoDB Atlas and Cloudflare.

4. Age restrictions

Discord requires all users to be at least 13, or older where local law says so. SeshBot includes moderation tooling intended for users aged 16 and up. SeshTunes is suitable for all Discord users.

5. Content responsibility

Every moderation feature is off until a server turns it on. Server owners are responsible for configuring moderation, for what their members post, and for how the bots are used in their server. We do not monitor server content.

6. Availability and disclaimer

The bots are provided as-is and free of charge. Some features depend on third-party services and may be affected by their availability. We are not responsible for misuse or misconfiguration by server owners, and we may suspend access to a server that abuses the service.

7. Supporting SeshTunes

SeshTunes is free to use. Every feature is available to every server and nothing is locked behind a payment. If you choose to send us something anyway, this section explains what that is and what it isn't.

• It is voluntary. Support is a tip for a service we already provide — not a purchase, subscription or membership. You are never required to pay to use SeshTunes, and refusing to pay never removes or limits a feature.
• It buys nothing. We are not a charity and do not claim tax-deductible status. Payments fund hosting and development, and how they are spent is at our discretion. We may thank supporters — for example by not showing them our support reminders — but any such acknowledgement is a courtesy, not a product you are buying, and it may change or end at any time.
• Refunds. Because nothing is sold, payments are not automatically refundable. That said, we would rather you were not out of pocket over a mistake: contact us in our support server within 14 days and we will refund you, no reason needed. After 14 days we will still consider it. Nothing here affects any statutory right you may have where you live.
• Payment handling. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself.
• Who can pay. You must be 18 or older, and using your own payment method or one you have permission to use.

If a payment was made from your account without your permission, tell us rather than raising a chargeback and we will refund it.

What happens to the personal data involved in a payment is set out in the privacy policy.

8. Changes

These Terms may change as the bots evolve. The date above shows when they last did. Continued use after a change implies acceptance of the revised Terms.
